My Mom's a Whack Job: Influenster Holiday VoxBox Reviews

I have been reading about Influenster on Twitter and other blogs and had to get in on it! I love new products and LOVE getting boxes. So after visiting their site and taking a few quizzes, reading some reviews and well, just checking it all out, I got a notice that I qualified for the Holiday Vox Box!

Can I tell you how excited I was!

Okay, just way beyond excited! The box is crazy awesome and I have had so much fun Tweet about all my goodies and trying them all out.

So, here is my review of what was included, what I thought and if I would buy them... ENJOY!

I received the Cherry Pistachio in my box, however I don't eat grains so I had a friend eat this. Was told it was okay, not great. The serving size was a bit small for a meal, it is a snack at best, unless you are a little person and I am not. By the look of it, I would have to agree. The flavor, so / so. It was easy to make, instructions were clear, however I am not sure I would buy this on a regular basis.

I received this in the neutral nude color. Now, I have a lot of lip glosses and always find issues with them. This one is AWESOME! The color for me was a bit light, but it gave a great shine, it was not super sticky and the staying power was great. I am really happy with this and would definitely go out and buy it, probably in a bit of a shade though. Can't wait to try it over a lipstick to see how it looks.

I have seen these in the store and have been dying to check them out. My nails are always done, but I type all day long and they never last more than a day or two. According to the package, these are supposed to last ten days..... I am hoping.

I got the Kiss Nail Design in Babydoll. At first I was not that excited, I don't wear a lot of gold, it doesn't go with my skin tone, but after mixing it up with a darker polish, I love it. I had a hard time at first getting this on so that they looked good, then I decided to read the instructions and turns out I was doing it wrong, yeah, go figure! Once I switched them around, they went on super easy, smoothed out really well and I just snipped off of top and filed them off. I really LOVE them and have great hopes. The only thing I did not like was the fact that there was a lot of waste. My nails are not long, so I ended up having to cut off at least 1/3 to a 1/2 of each one I used. If I had purchased these, I would be bummed I was wasting money. I am sure I could figure out who to use the other piece. But it would be really nice if they came in a shorter version.

I am not one for preworkout drinks, makes me have to pee more than I already do, but as soon as I finished my eight mile run, I thought, this would be great to keep up my energy and keep me from dying in my tracks. I got the Pink Lemonade in my package and so happy I did, as this would be the flavor I would have chosen. It was great! It mixed easily, no residue on the bottom of the glass when I finished. The taste was pretty good, definitely one of the better energy drinks I have taken. I liked that it was gluten and soy free as well. As I do not eat gluten and this is always an issue with the energy items I consume. So far, its been an hour and I feel as if I have more energy than I normally do at this point after a long run. This is definitely a winner!

I love the concept of this brush. Both Spawn and I have extra thick hair that takes forever to dry. I did try this on both of us with dry hair and it was full of static, so this would only work on your wet hair. So, we both used it over a week and it seemed to help. I cannot say it was 30% less water, but I did notice a little bit of a difference, especially with Spawns hair as it is long and really thick. We tried it right out of the shower and it did soak up some water, her hair was not dripping wet when I was done, so that is a plus. I went to use the brush the next morning and it was still really wet. And unless I wanted my dry hair damp, I was not able to use it. I think that we will get a lot of use out of this and would recommend it to others with long thick hair. *** I finally used it on my hair and I am not sure if it was the brush or the fact my hair got washed, but my hair was rocking it all day. I did find in using the brush my hair was straighter and did not require as much straightening. Definitely a winner for me!

I am not a big online shoe shopper, but I have a friend that uses this site and LOVES it! I played around with it and did find several styles that I would have loved to have purchased, however they were always out of my size. Kinda bummed about that, as I do not wear super high heels, I am already almost six feet tall. So the selection in lower heels was quite limited and seeing that they were always out of my size. I did not find anything worth buying. I will go back before the coupon expires and see if the inventory has increased.

I wanted to eat this!! And just for the record and for idiots like me, there is a warning that clearly states you cannot eat it! I found that hilarious! I slathered this on after my shower the other night and not only was I smelling nice and fruity, I really liked the smooth texture of the mask. It wasn't too chalky, which most mask are. I probably put too much of it on my face. The package wasn't enough for two applications, but a bit too much for one. I left it one for about twenty minutes. I wanted it fully dry and to see if it cracked or got tight on my face. And it did not. Which I loved. Rinsing off was a breeze. It came off with little scrubbing and I could tell a difference on how soft my face felt after. The next morning it was still feeling great, with no moisturizer. Loved this and I will definitely be buying it as a staple in my weekly beauty routine. Best part of it, I scared the crap out of both of my kids!
