Colors of a Girls Weekend

My kids are gone for a week... Can I get a HELL YEAH!!!!
Okay, rack that up to bad mommy moment, but damn I needed a break!
So what does a mom do when the kids are gone?
Puts on her PARTY shirt.....

Loads up the car......

\

Grabs a road soda and heads to Palm Springs with two of the best girls ever.....

Two hours away, we have the most incredible desert, with mountains covered in snow and temperatures in the 90's.
Fine, for all you that are in the snow right now, hate me, but seriously?  Would you pass this up?  Or stop rubbing it in my face...Ummmm.....no......

We stayed at the Saguaro, just about a mile from the Village in Palm Springs.  The hotel used to be an old motel, which most are in Palm Springs that was completely redone by the Joie de Vivre Group.  It was fun, colorful and so different than most hotels.  As soon as we got there, we were no longer moms or wives or employees, we were happy bitches.

Seriously there was a Ping Pong table in the lobby! <note to Saguaro, I am HAPPY to come out and do a real review of your hotel>

LOVED IT!

Our room had purple carpet, red walls and hot pink desk and dressers..... when have you ever been somewhere so colorful and cheery?

The bathroom?  Hot Pink and Orange... HELLO!!

After checking in, it took us like, um two seconds to end up here....

A few drinks, lots of sun, laying out by the pool... All I could see was a moment of pure love....

The view from our room was amazing, the snow capped mountains, the bright, lively pool, and boccie ball court.  Off to the side, there was a fundraiser going on and guess who was there......

Give up?  Figured....

Greg Louganis... yep that is right... even better... we were leaving to go out Saturday night and HE brushed my friends arm... then turn around and said HI to ME... Yep that is right bitches.. he loves me... I turn gay heads.. I rock!

Since a girl has to glam up and go out, white girl cant spend all day at the pool, so we headed out to downtown that is full of bars, restaurant and a old Hollywood love of the movies.  Palm Springs was famous back in the day for being the desert getaway for movie stars and they still keep with that theme.. The main street is lined in stars of old stars, producers and directors.

The newest edition to Palm Springs was this 26 foot tall statue of Marilyn Monroe.  It was incredible and our drunk selves had every intention twice to go get a pic, but we didn't.  We were drunk, sorry.....

After maybe three or four too many of these....

Even drunk we are still pretty hot though..... too bad the married girls shooshed off the little boy that sent his friends in to flirt me up....

You may think, drink all day at the pool, drink all night, can't move the next day... Wrong... We were up and at the pool at 9 am and let me tell you it was 90 degrees and incredible.

Stop.... I know I am pasty white and laying out in the shade... I am white girl remember!!!

How was your weekend?  Did you get some sun or spend it shoveling snow?  Sorry if you did that really sucks.

    1. I felt a little bad to see everyone buried in snow. Just a little, okay, really not at all. I pay for this freaking sunshine!
