Living by the Signs

I have a confession, a big one.  I don't get astrology and the obsession with it.  I just don't.  I have friends that tie every action you do to your sign.  Can tell you what sign you are if you tell them your birthday date.  Hell, I don't even know my kids signs and how I know mine is beyond me.

Lately though I have been visiting Daily Horoscope and I have been very intrigued.  Some of my horoscopes have been right on.  Like scary right on.  Freaking weird:

Tuesday, Mar 5, 2013 -- Your social network may have a big effect on your love life today. Sharing your feelings about a with close friends can be beneficial now. -  I had just told a friend on Facebook about something that I was hesitant to share, the advice was just what I needed.

Monday, Mar 11, 2013 -- Let yourself dream about the possibilities of the year ahead, because today's New Moon in your sign marks a new beginning for you, Fish. Allow your fantasies to carry your thoughts far and wide. Make your wish based upon what's in your heart rather than what other people expect of you. There will be plenty of time later on to create a more realistic plan; for now, your imagination can be your greatest source of inspiration. - These are words I have been trying to live by.  To stop caring about what everyone in my life thinks is best for me and do what I feel is best for me.

Tuesday, Mar 12, 2013 -- Be wary of making impulsive decisions today, especially relating to how you spend your money. You're inclined to purchase something you don't really need, or you might buy it for the wrong reasons. Problems arise when you over-identify with material things; happiness must come from within and not from what you own. Take stock of all the blessings in your life, and you may discover you have everything you need.  - I was just getting ready to go and spend the $100 my mother gave me on some jeans, that I do not need.  I love the Happiness must come from within, it is so true and I have been lacking that.

Do you believe in Astrology?  Has it made a difference in your life?  I am very intrigued and finding more and more that I am wanting to read my horoscope and research the meanings behind the signs.  I have never had my palms read or done a tarot card reading, maybe I will venture out.

  2. I used to be huge into western astrology as well as chinese astrology. I have had my palms read, tarot cards read, and some of the other "fortune" telling stuff. Some of it is dead on right. It depends on where you go, but usually the ones that are more expensive, are more detailed. Dee and I used to go twice a year to psychics for our birthdays. We always go in with open minds and don't divulge any pertinent information to see how close or true our readings are. It can be quite interesting but you always have to remember, you have the power to change your destiny at any time. One of my fave quotes "only the journey is written, not the destination".

  3. Ok...now pick ANOTHER sign and read all those horoscopes...see if they apply just as well. If they do, well, there it is. If they DON'T...we are all now slaves to Jupiter.

    1. I am with you. I would love to get mine read or do cards, but I am afraid the death card will come up.

    2. so many people are afraid of the death card....in actuality, it only means the end of something in your life (not your life). It usually has to deal with a big change thats needed to happen or you will be totally unprepared for. Change is good!

  5. I have a daily horoscope app that I'm obsessed with!! At first I thought it was just a coincidence. But it's freakily accurate like 90% of the time!! I love it!

    Hugs!

  6. As I said on my blog, I mostly don't believe in that stuff, but a small part of me wonders if it is true. I go in phases of reading horoscopes. And I've had fun getting my tarot cards read, but have never had an amazing reading where I was like, "yes!" In fact, the psychic that I most recently saw told me she was 99% sure I was going to get the United Way job, and you know how that turned out. But it is definitely all intriguing, and I guess I'll always believe in it at least a little bit :) And if have a great horoscope about career or love, I'll definitely believe it!!

  7. Personally I don't believe in that kind of stuff. They can be accurate and they just as easily can be wrong. I think they are just talented writers who can write in a vague enough way that our minds draw connections.

    But they can be entertaining.

  8. I enjoy reading mine, but generally take it with a grain of salt, and I have had a tarot reading a couple of times, and there again I take it with a grain of salt. I think if you are a firm believer things can come true, but of course nothing is written. LOL! Great post! New follower from the Bloglovin hop. :)
